Objective

  • to expose the culture of dancing to the world
  • to show how dancing is related to each culture
  • to reveal the differences of each culture in this world through dancing
  • consist some common things that able in dancing even the steps are difference
  • to express ideas,emotions, and even tell stories

Research:

the design should be interactive so that it interact teenagers to view. in order to achieve it, the design should consist all the elements that attract teenagers. the elements consist of interactive colors,interactive layouts, and many more. most important is the design itself should have a graphics that whisper to the teenagers in some kind of way.

  1. adults

more concern to the formal ways. that is the design that is suitable for the adult’s type of audience. the layouts should not be to crowded. the colors should be consistent. plus the message are clearly state.


Approaches:

  1. kids

lots of color usage,cool fonts,graphical and message being represent in simple method

  1. teenagers

attractive colors, funky fonts, graphical and message being represent in a way teenagers way

  1. adults

maximum of 3 colors, clean layout, formal graphical and message being represent in formal and direct ways


Strategies:

  1. kids

try to attract kids by usage of graphical and interactive colors. also the usage of childish layouts which represent fun.

  1. teenagers

funky looks which consist of graphical, contrast colors. also the layouts should also look funky and relevant to lifestyle of teenagers.

  1. adults

corporate and clean layout. the color should not be too much,maximum of 3 colors. less graphical representation and also the message being represent directly.


Reasons:

  1. kids

colorful and graphical attract kids a lot. also the content being represented in a childish way, the design is not too formal, so it will attract kids.

  1. teenagers

funky design and correct colors usage will attract the teenagers. plus the representation in a funky way were really suites with teenagers.

  1. adults

mature and formal design are suitable for adults. this is due to the font,color and graphical chosen. plus the message are being represent directly.

Assignment 1 - Progress on ideas

i've come out with an idea for the charts. i would like to do a "dlsr camera" concept. i've figured everything out while i'm hanging out in my room and start to think about it. my objective is simple, i try to relate the charts with what i like in my life. photography & videography cross my mind. i will try to produce a sketch regarding to this idea. =p

Descriptions of the chart

Identify design issue
-design brief
Process of defining what are the project is all about. The objectives,requirments,things to use and many more of the project's. Its also provide the details of the project so that it can be understand clearly without any inquiries.

-project planning
Process which particular individual sit down on their own and start to think all the matters of the project. The time schedules,themes,colors and many more. Also each individual will be able to imagine how the overall process going to be look like.

-brainstorming & mind-mapping
Process which particular individual start to sort and list down all their unique ideas and start to eleborate each ideas as detail as they can. This is important so that each details was being eleborate and there is no complication about certain ideas. Also in this staging process, it is possible for new ideas to be born during the brainstorming & mind-mapping process.

Determine context + content structure
-research & facts finding
In this process,all the particular data that are related are being collected. Research of the specific topic given. After the research had been done, all the facts will be recorded so that it can be used in future. This process also will help a lot because it ensure clearity about the specific topic.

-target audience analysis and profiling
This process involves the research about the particular audience for that specific topics. Its also related with the research & fact findings process where all the facts can be used to determined the targwt audience. It also will give an impact on what is the type of design that will be going to use and also either it is suitable with the targt audience or not.

-questionnaires & survey
Process where a collection of an information queries from anonymous participant randomly. The questions were related to the issues in hand.

-data collection & analysis
Process of collecting all the data from the questionnaire and survey that have been distributed. From the results an analysis have been made base from the answer given from the anonymous participants.

-precedence studies
Process where all the related issues regarding to the topic being collected. This will ensure all the informations that we have are related to the problems given, also ensuring that all the data that we have can be used in order to complete the project.

-design & technical research
Process where all the problems that are related to the designing and development stages included for the interactive application. Also providing solutions for any specific technical problems regarding the interactive applications.

-content finalization
Process where all the final contents were being finalize. The contents also were the contents that will be use. The content that being used also are related to the issues given earlier.

-sitemap & flowchart
Process where the flow of the interactive applications being finalize. His also will show the whole structure of the interactive applications. It also can be as a guide for the audience in case they have any problems regarding the interactive applications.

Design process & idea development
-sketches:design style and concept
Process to produce a lot of sketches that is possible includes style and theme of overall design for the interactive application. At this stage all related ideas being sketch out on a piece of paper.

-lots of it
This stage related to the stages above which means try to produce sketches as a lot as you can. This will help you in finding the perfect style and concept.

-finalized screen design
Choose a few from the sketches before that you think can be use for the final dewing of the interactive application. From the choices that you have,compared each of the sketches that are available until you are satisfied with the only(final) sketches that you chose as the final screen design.

Interactive idea & concept
-interaction design & navigation
This stages is all about the interaction design which will finalize how the navigations of the interactive applications going to be. The designer will set up the navigation & will ensure that the navigation can be easily use by the audience later on.

-authoring script analysis,working scripts
Stages where all the scripts being considered by the designer/programmer. The designer will make a research on which scripting that is suitable for use and which are not. Also the designer will ensure that the scripts chose will not brings any problems later on in the execution process.

Technical requirements & development
-hardware,software and gadgets
This stage will specify specifically what and which hardware,software and gadgets require and going to be use for the interactive application.

-multimedia requirement

-output requirements
This stage will ensure what is the output devices needed for the interactive application. For example a speaker or a printer.

Execution
-digital pre production
Stages where the process of developing the application started. Everything will be done computerize. This stages also will be referred to the sketches earlier.

-mockups & prototypes
This stages is all about achieving what it is like being planned earlier. Try to produce everything according to the plan. Finally a prototype will be produce.

-troubleshooting
This stages is the process of testing the application for any bugs from the prototype.

Testing
-product testing and feedback
Once the products has completed,a testing session will be conducted to test the applications. The testing will be done by a randomly selected volunteer. Once the tested had been done, all the feedbacks will recorded.

-refining design,interaction,concept and technical issues
Once the feedback given after the testing, all the things from the feedback need to be enhance including the design,interaction,concept and even technical issues.

-troubleshooting
Once again the applications will be tested by randomly selected volunteers to test the applications.

-final testing & troubleshooting
This is the final testing of the application. Once the testing complicated, all the problems that occurs during the testing will be fixed.

Final release
-final production
This stages is where the application reach it's final stage before it's being delivered. All the small issues or problems had been fixed and the application was being finalized.

-product delivery
In this stages, the application will be delivered to the client that requested the applications to be develop since the beginning formally.
